Big Red Oak Plantation is located in Gay, Georgia in the northeast corner of Meriwether County. Gay has less than 200 residents, but 4 days a year Gay comes alive with over 100,000 visitors who come and enjoy the Cotton Pickin’ Fair. Big Red Oak Plantation is only 1/2 mile from downtown Gay. At the only red light in town, go west on Greenville Road for 1/2 mile and look for our signs and entrance on the south side of the road. Come down the gravel road and bear right at the fork along the board fence to the Pro Shop. We will be ready to aim you in the right direction.

GETTING HERE
From Atlanta: (through Peachtree City)
-- From Atlanta, take I-85 South to Exit 61.
-- Turn left on Highway 74 through Peachtree City.
-- Turn right on Georgia 85 South through Senoia, Haralson and Alvaton.
-- Turn right at traffic light on Highway 109.
-- Entrance to Big Red Oak Plantation is 1/2 mile on left.
-- Follow the sign to the office.
From Atlanta: (through Moreland)
-- From Atlanta, take I-85 South to Exit 41 (Moreland).
-- Turn left on Highway 27 Alt heading south.
-- Follow to Greenville, follow around the courthouse.
-- Turn right onto 109, travel approximately 1/4 mile.
-- Turn East to Spur 109, travel approximately 9 miles.
-- Turn right into the entrance to Big Red Oak Plantation.
-- Follow the sign to the office.
From Macon:
-- Take I-75 North to Exit 185 (Hwy. 18).
-- Follow west through Barnesville, Zebulon, and Concord to Woodbury.
-- Turn north onto GA 85, travel into Gay.
-- Turn left at traffic light in Gay.
-- Turn east to Spur 109, travel approximately 9 miles.
-- Entrance to Big Red Oak Plantation is 1/2 mile on left.
-- Follow the sign to the office.
From LaGrange:
-- Take Hwy 109 East to Greenville.
-- Follow around the courthouse.
-- Turn right continuing on 109, travel approximately 1/4 mile.
-- Turn East to Spur 109, travel approximately 9 miles.
-- Turn right into the entrance to Big Red Oak Plantation.
-- Follow the sign to the office.
From Columbus:
-- Take Hwy 27 Alt heading North to GA 85 North.
-- Travel to Gay.
-- Turn left at traffic light in Gay.
-- Entrance to Big Red Oak Plantation is 1/2 mile on left.
